Juthan Chocolate, based in the heart of Surrey, is a family-owned, artisan, bean-to-bar chocolate producer committed to crafting pure, indulgent chocolate with only a handful of high-quality ingredients.
The brand’s name, Juthan, is a heartfelt combination of Julian and Ethan—the sons of Karolina and Willem, who founded the company with a mission to provide the best possible food for their family.
As a nutritionist with experience working for a major UK food manufacturer, Karolina was always deeply passionate about food quality. When she and Willem, an IT architect renowned for his precision and perfection, became parents, they focused on creating clean, wholesome food for their sons.
Willem, who had already been growing microgreens for family and friends, approached food production with the same meticulous care that characterised his profession. His commitment to detail, drove the design of their chocolate-making process, ensuring every bar was crafted with precision and attention to detail.
What sets Juthan Chocolate apart is not just its rich, nuanced
flavours but also its commitment to authenticity. No hidden additives, no shortcuts—just pure chocolate, crafted with care and precision.
Their journey took a pivotal turn during a trip to Bruges, Belgium, in 2019, when they discovered that many renowned Belgian chocolates were filled with additives.
Motivated by the belief that luxurious chocolate could be made with just a few simple ingredients—cocoa beans, milk, and sugar—they embarked on an 18-month quest to engineer the perfect chocolate bar.
Combining Willem’s keen eye for precision with Karolina’s dedication to nutrition, they designed each batch of Juthan Chocolate to meet the highest quality standards.
Karolina firmly believes that pleasure is an essential part of every diet. "Whatever you eat," she says, "eat mindfully, in moderation, and always choose the best quality ingredients." This philosophy is woven into every bar of Juthan Chocolate, where simplicity and indulgence meet in perfect harmony.
